Over the course of a decade, the Costa Blanca became our home, a place where daily routines intertwined with special moments and unforgettable memories. Its golden beaches and crystal-clear waters witnessed our laughter, adventures, and moments that we will cherish for a lifetime. Every corner of this sunny land has its own story. Though nostalgia sometimes takes hold, we fondly remember the simplicity and authenticity of this place, where the Mediterranean sun made our lives brighter. The Costa Blanca was not just a destination, but a chapter in our history that we cherish with gratitude.

That’s why we want to share our Top 10 of the best beaches according to our criteria with you, lovers of the good life, of this unique place.

1- Cala Portitxol

The charming Cala Portitxol, or Cala Barraca, is one of our favorite beaches. Its white and blue fisherman’s cottages, with crystal-clear waters perfect for diving, create a unique atmosphere between Cap Prim and Cap Negre. The Portitxol Island attracts scuba divers, and the restaurant in the cove adds a special touch. It’s a haven for lovers of the good life and tranquility, making Cala Portitxol an incomparable coastal treasure.

Our recommendations:

This beach is meant to be enjoyed! So, don’t forget to bring a stylish outfit for taking beautiful photos against the backdrop of the stunning blue doors.

2- Cala Granadella

Cala Granadella, one of our beloved spots in Jávea, stands out as Spain’s most exclusive and beautiful beach, according to national surveys. Surrounded by hills and pine forests, its crystal-clear waters are perfect for water sports. Awarded the Blue Flag since 1989, it ensures safety and quality standards. It’s a gem that you absolutely must visit.

Our recommendations:

If you plan to visit this beach between July and August, we advise either arriving by motorcycle or getting there very early in the morning to secure parking and avoid entrance blockages. Don’t forget your diving gear as the site is ideal for it!

3- Cala Blanca

Cala Blanca in Jávea is a small and beautiful cove with white sand surrounded by cliffs, featuring crystal-clear and calm waters. Ideal for enjoying a vibrant and charming atmosphere, it’s very close to the city itself, perfect for soaking up the sun and sea.

Our recommendations:

Bring along sturdy shoes to access the beach. You’ll encounter many charming spots along the way, but in our opinion, the most beautiful is the last cove where you can truly enjoy a stunning landscape. Also, consider bringing a thicker towel as the beach is rocky.

4- Cala del francés

The Cala del Francés in Jávea, also known as Cala Sardinera, is a charming cove accessible by foot that offers a stunning natural setting. Surrounded by cliffs and Mediterranean vegetation, the cove is perfect for those seeking a more secluded and less crowded spot. Its waters are ideal for diving and snorkeling, boasting rich marine life and interesting seabeds. The cove is relatively small, contributing to maintaining a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere.

Our recommendations:

Since you have to access the beach by walking through a mountain path, I recommend wearing sturdy shoes for your safety and comfort. Also, don’t forget your snorkeling gear to explore the crystal-clear waters!

5- Playa Fustera

La Playa La Fustera stands out for its extensive stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear waters. Located in Benissa, this beach offers a peaceful natural setting surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. Additionally, the area features local gastronomic options where you can enjoy authentic paellas, enhancing your coastal experience at La Fustera.

Our recommendations:

The sand on this beach is very pleasant, and depending on the wind, the waves can vary in height. The water is slightly cooler than in other coves, perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day. You can also walk along the coast on a beautiful path surrounded by pine trees, typical of Mediterranean coasts, where you can connect with the natural beauty of the area!

6- Cala Baladrar

Cala Baladrar on the Costa Blanca, in Benissa, is a beautiful cove surrounded by cliffs. Additionally, it has a local beach bar that offers drinks and snacks with sea views, providing a pleasant atmosphere and great ambiance.

Our recommendations:

We suggest bringing a slightly thicker towel as the beach is not sandy but made of white stones, adding to its charm and crystal-clear water. You’ll also have access to a lovely beach bar ‘chiringuito’ where you can enjoy food and drinks. One of our favorites, and highly recommended, is a pitcher of cava or white wine sangria, perfect for a beautiful afternoon with friends or your partner!

7- Playa del portet

The Portet Beach on the Costa Blanca, located in Moraira, is a charming beach with fine sand and crystal-clear waters. It stands out for its shell-like shape and its surroundings surrounded by green hills. With calm and shallow waters, it is ideal for swimming and enjoying with family.

Our recommendations:

You can park in the charming village of Moraira, famous for its charm, restaurants, and small artisan shops. You can access El Portet beach with a pleasant 20-minute walk along a path very close to the sea. On the beach, you’ll also find restaurants and bars. Perfect for spending a full day!

8- Cova Tallada

Cova Tallada in Dénia is a unique sea cave sculpted by the Mediterranean over time. Accessible through a hike from Las Rotas, it offers an exhilarating experience. Explore its intricate chambers and passages, where you can marvel at the rock formations and swim in its crystal-clear waters. A must-visit destination for nature and adventure enthusiasts.

Our recommendations:

 La Cova is accessible by a 20-25 minute hike, so we recommend wearing comfortable and sturdy shoes for a safe and enjoyable experience. Additionally, hiking is not recommended for individuals with severe vertigo or very young children.

9- Playa el molino

The Molino Beach in Dénia, Costa Blanca, is a beach paradise for those who enjoy action. It stands out for having a windsurfing school to learn or improve aquatic skills, and paddle tennis courts to enjoy exciting sports by the sea. You can also enjoy beautiful sunsets. Ideal for tourists seeking sun and fun

Our recommendations:

The beach is perfect for enjoying beautiful sunsets and engaging in water sports activities! We highly recommend checking out the windsurfing school located on this beach.

10- Playa las marinas beach

Les Marines Beach in Dénia stands out for its stretch of sand and calm waters, making it an attractive destination for vacations on the Costa Blanca. The restaurants on the waterfront offer authentic Mediterranean cuisine with sea views, providing visitors with a unique culinary experience by the beach.

Our recommendations:

the beach is ideal for picnicking or taking some refreshments.

But if not, we have another excellent option: the restaurant ‘Primera Linea’ is perfect for grabbing a drink or dining in. It offers typical dishes from the Valencian community and has a lovely terrace. We highly recommend it!
